Who is this course for? A referral point for adults who need to learn or extend knowledge & skills in computing and are not yet on a course. What will I learn on this course? This workshop is for people waiting to get onto a course or who need a small amount of IT training. Attend minimum one session where you will discuss a personalised programme depending on your needs. The range of topics available includes use of mouse and keyboard; Internet & Email; using Microsoft Office applications (word processing, spreadsheets/databases and PowerPoint). How will I learn? A mixture of individual work at the computer alongside possibly whole-group or small-group teaching supported by a tutor. Peer teaching will be encouraged as will increasing independent learning e.g. through workbooks. Your teacher will discuss your needs and agree targets with you. What qualifications will I gain? None, but you will receive a Manchester Adult Education Service certificate. What could this course lead to? Another ICT course, or another type of course, in MAES or another provider Can I join anytime? You can join KIT at any time there is space available in the year.
