The board of trade in WW11 said £no material must lie idle£, now maybe is the time to reconsider this. Learn to use what you have or can find to reuse and make useful textiles. Learners will gain skills in: 1) Inventive recycling£see the potential for repair or reconstruction of an item, 2) Design£combining items/fabrics/trimmings for function and visual impact, 3) Improve Basic sewing by hand and machine Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil and a basic sewing kit -machine thread sewing needle and tape measure and small scissors. We do have some scrap fabrics available for a small donation but do bring your own project.
