Develop skills in hand building methods such as coiling, slabbing, press molding and extrusions. You will be encouraged to combine techniques to construct ambitious forms. Surface decoration techniques will be introduced. Creative with all things ceramic. This course will allow learners to increase their skills and knowledge across the subject of ceramics. Learners will have the opportunity to develop their ideas, explore new directions and, with guidance, plan and design a piece through to realising the finished piece. Throughout the course learners will be encouraged to use a range of construction techniques to experiment and explore ceramic form. The course will also include surface decoration methods and glaze application. Please bring an apron to protect your clothing. All tools are provided.
