Who is it for? The qualification is aimed at anyone interested in working with young people in a youth work setting or in becoming a youth and community worker. This level is ideal if you are a professional or voluntary youth worker with good technical skills and knowledge. You work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, fault correction and ensuring that work meets the required standard. What is the structure? You must achieve a minimum of 44 credits; 32 from four mandatory units and a further 12 from the optional units. The mandatory units are: - Understanding youth work principles and practice - Understanding intervention strategies in youth work - Understanding principles, knowledge and skills in work-based practice in youth work - Work-based practice in youth work
