This two year course offers a specialist qualification that focuses on particular aspects of employment within the Travel and Tourism industry. You will have the opportunity to study the Travel and Tourism industry in the UK, Europe and long haul destinations. In addition, learners will cover special interest tourism, roles and responsibilities of holiday representatives, passenger transport, hospitality operations, marketing, customer service and many more. Relevant visits will be undertaken throughout the programme including a visit abroad (to Croatia in 2012-13). In the second year you will have the opportunity of a two-week work placement within the industry, which often leads to employment. In addition to the main qualification, there are further areas of study which lead to additional qualifications, including functional skills, practical Spanish, NCFE "Passenger Shipping Industry" and an NCFE Certificate in Employability Skills which enhance our students employment prospects.
