The BTEC Level 3 Certificate offers a specialist qualification that focuses on particular aspects of Sports Science and employment within the Sport Science/Development vocational sector. You will follow a vocationally specific qualification which will develop a range of personal skills and knowledge that will be essential for successful performance in working life. You will study a range of topic areas which will require you to participate practically as well as research and produce written responses to work related assignment briefs. There are four course units covered in the Certificate: 1. Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport 2. The Physiology of Fitness 3. Assessing Risk in Sport 4. Fitness Testing for Sport and Exercise Your programme of study will be coursework based your skills and knowledge will be assessed through practical tasks, written coursework presentations, and teacher observation.
