You will study a variety of units that relate to working in Health and Social Care. You will also have the opportunity to take part in display work, developing practical skills and take part in one week of work experience. You will complete units relating to work experience and job opportunities in Health and Social Care; these units aim to make sure you think carefully about your chosen career, understand the options available to you, and what pathways you might want to follow. Work experience units will ensure that you get the most out of your experience, develop relevant skills, and have the chance to review them. You will cover some more general units to help you think about your career such as: Investigating rights and responsibilities at work, Managing your health at work, Preparing for work placement, Learning from work placement and Job opportunities in health and social care You will also cover more specific aspects of Health and Social Care like: Health and social care needs, Personal care in health and social care, Creative activities for children, Learning experiences for children and young people, Creative activities for adults, Promoting healthy eating in care, Communication with adults and children in health and social care.
