Plaiting and Twisting Hair - Level 1 Award

The Level 1 Award in Plaiting and Twisting Hair is a part time qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in the intricate work of plaiting and twisting hair. To achieve the standards required you must maintain consistent attendance of 85% throughout the course.

Name: Plaiting and Twisting Hair - Level 1 Award Qualification title: Award in Plaiting and Twisting Hair (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment You will be assessed by an assessor observing your practical skills and by questioning your knowledge and understanding. You will produce a portfolio of work which will be completed throughout the course. This will contain client assessments sheets from your practical sessions, photographic evidence, a candidate assessment book and a log of services completed as proof of competence. Entry requirements

You will need a small hairdressing kit, which must be paid for at the start of the course. A compulsory uniform comprising of full length plain black trousers, a black short sleeved tunic and black closed in shoes. The salon has a NO jewellery policy therefore we ask that students do not wear jewellery into college. Please bring a pad of A4 paper and pen/pencil to the first meeting. Information regarding the purchase/suppliers of tunics and kits will be provided at your taster session.
