The Intermediate (Level 2) Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a contextualised programme for new care workers, or those with a great learning need, incorporating knowledge and understanding, workplace performance, employability skills, and development of English and mathematics. On-the-job training from employers, along with teaching/learning and assessments, support individuals new to working in care with a robust learning programme. Observations in the workplace confirm competence in the workplace. Progress Reviews are undertaken throughout the programme with the employer, learner, and assessor.
