The course aims to provide you with a thorough grounding in the working methods and production processes involved in the creation of web content and services and offers both a practical understanding and theoretical insight into this increasingly important industry. It also examines how the media is being changed by creative, active, consumers. The course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to lead production teams and creatives within companies offering complex content for the interactive Web. • An understanding of the range of creative, technical and professional skills relevant to media and services delivered to consumers by the Internet; • A comprehensive knowledge of contemporary professional practice and the creative process in the professional field in which students will specialise, plus an awareness of current areas of development and innovation; • The ability to evaluate and aggregate professional resources to produce an online knowledge-base of information about web-based media, using the portal of a blog. • The ability to lead teams and to suggest strategic and creative use of existing and new Web technologies, and media delivered by the Internet
