Access to H.E. Diploma in Computing

This course is for mature students, aged 19 or over. As you will need to successfully complete a CRB/DBS check in order to progress onto a nursing degree, we cannot accept students with a criminal record. Government regulations currently prohibit entry for overseas students on this course. Will the course give me what I want? Outline of skills and knowledge The subject areas are directly related to preparing students for a nursing degree, such as anatomy, physiology, psychology. There are also broader subject areas included in Study Skills, such as I.T and maths, to help Level 3 students prepare for a degree level course. Course content Biology Psychology Sociology Communications Study Skills Maths I.T. What have students who have taken this course in the past progressed to? The course is linked to University of West London, St Marys Hospital and Middlesex University. Students are guaranteed interviews at University of West London. Students either continue on to a general nursing degree or a nursing specialism, such as midwifery. How will I learn? Through coursework, practical exercises and examinations. Credits are accumulated over the course of the year. On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a kitemarked OCNLR Access Certificate.
