Most students undertake the course in order to gain a GCSE in Mathematics. Others are motivated by the need to help their children or grandchildren with their schoolwork and some simply want to update their mathematical knowledge. No prior qualifications are needed but if you have found the subject difficult in the past and/or you haven't studied any maths for a long time it may be better to build up your skills and confidence on the basic maths course first. This course follows the Edexcel syllabus.
