Will the course give me what I want? Course content At level 3 you will be required to become a self-managed learner building on skills you have developed at previous levels either at college or in school. The expectation at level 3 is that you are mature, professional, reflective and motivated. You should be able to seek appropriate support where required and complete work independently. ? Outline of skills and knowledge In addition to the development of skills in team and individual sports, students are given the opportunity to study Sport as a Business, Current issues in Sport, Coaching Skills & Sports Massage Therapies where appropriate. What have students who have taken this course in the past progressed to? Progression into Higher Education study on HNC or HND at City of Westminster College UCAS applications to HE institutions to study HND/HNC, Foundation Degree or BA(Hons)/BSc/B Ed courses or possible career opportunities in a wide range of careers within the Sports and Fitness industries including Sports education, Coaching, Sports Massage Therapies, Fitness Instruction & Personal Training Apprenticeship programmes within the Sports/Fitness Sector subject to successful applications. Students who successfully complete their Level 3 qualification as expected and to a set standard will also be eligible to take part in our additional qualification for:CYQ Level 2 Fitness Instructors Award: this qualification is an industry standard for working in the fitness industry specifically in Gyms and Leisure Centres. Past students have gained paid employment at this college in the new college gym following their completed course. How will I learn? Through a combination of theory and practical work e.g. coaching and fitness instruction.
