Advanced Apprenticeship in Children and Young People's Workforce (QCF)

Social Enterprise Kent offers an Advanced Apprenticeship in Children and Young People’s Workforce, which will last a minimum of one year and one day when the apprentice works at least 30 hours per week in paid employment. This is a City and Guilds qualification that will provide the apprentice with a great understanding of all aspects to do with children and young people. This will include keeping children safe and preparing and maintaining environments to support children’s needs. The apprenticeship will include: a Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce at Level 3, and Functional Skills in English and Maths at Level 2. The apprentice will not be required to do Functional Skills if they have achieved a C grade or above at GCSE (or equivalent) in that particular subject. The apprentice could train in a number of different roles like: nursery worker or supervisor, nursery nurse or nursery teaching assistant.
