"This course is a pre-requisite for the other chainsaw awards. It is suitable for ground workers and those who intend to continue to increase their chainsaw skills. Subjects covered include: Carry out maintenance of chainsaw and cutting system; Carry out operational chainsaw checks; Knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry good practice; Cross-cut a wide variety of timber using a chainsaw."
