Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders

UPDATED 20160317 16:25:22

This course was developed in order to meet the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003. It is now the law in England and Wales that anyone who authorises the sale of alcohol to the public must hold a personal licence. Those who wish to obtain a personal licence need to apply to their local authority. Applicants will be asked for a number of things to support their application, one of which will be proof that they hold a licensing qualification such as the BIIAB NCPLH. Organisation Benefits The course incorporates a wide range of topics relating to the Licensing Act 2003, delivered to a syllabus set by government. This will enable candidates to gain an understanding of the law with regards the licensed trade, encouraging front line staff to drive up and maintain the organisations adherence to current legislation. Personal Benefits Candidates who obtain this qualification will demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility, providing a basis from which the individual can develop within their chosen career path. Additionally, successful candidates will be able to meet the licensing qualification requirement when applying for a personal licence. Training Methods The course is classroom based and is taught by a BIIAB approved tutor. Candidates will be provided with a comprehensive course handbook, which covers all aspects of the syllabus.
