This course provides a basic introduction to the main styles of wine available to front line staff involved in the selling and / or service of wine. The qualification introduces candidates to the technique of tasting wine and the characteristics of the common grape varieties used to produce wines. The content aims to provide the basic product knowledge and skills in the selling and / or the service of wine to prepare a person for their first job involving wine retail or hospitality service.
