The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills and competencies of candidates in the workplace. The qualification provides individuals with an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed for a career in a catering environment. The Food Production and Cooking route allows individuals to complete the qualification who for operational reasons may not carry out the preparation of fresh produce. For example, if products are supplied pre-prepared you will be able to utilise this route to achieve your qualification.
