"This course is for you if you are a 16 to 18-year-old bilingual student who needs to improve your English before progressing to further study or training. This course has six stages, from Pre-Entry (English Prep) through to Entry Levels 1-3 (ABLE 1, 2 and 3) to Level 1. You will join the stage that best suits your needs. As well as improving your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills you will prepare for progression by either an academic or vocational route. You will have a personal tutor and study for exams in ESOL, Functional Skills Mathematics and Functional Skills IT. On completion of this course you will be able to progress to the next level of an ESOL course or to academic or vocational courses at Entry Level 3 or above."
