Health and Social Care Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship

Health and Social Care Advanced Apprenticeships provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to work in a variety of health and social care settings, from helping people with a particular need to providing vital assistance to healthcare professionals in the care of patients. You must be employed in a full-time Care position and your personal Training Advisor will visit you at least once a month in your workplace. The qualification is made up to suit individuals roles by selecting one Level 3 Diploma in either:- Adults with Learning Disabilities; Dementia Pathway or Generic Pathway. Each learner then must complete one mandatory Level 3 unit in:- Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in Health. Functional Skills in Maths and English exams at Level 2 are also mandatory but you may have exemptions in these. Whilst completing this qualification, you will cover topics like:- the role of a health and social care worker; health and safety; equality and inclusion; personal development. You will also cover specific skills and knowledge for the options you choose. This may include:- administering medication; supporting people with disabilities; working with babies and young children; helping people to eat and drink. This qualification will suit you if you are a care worker, and you have some responsibility in your workplace and you must sometimes work without supervision. This level is suitable for:- Senior Healthcare Assistants/Support Workers; Senior Care Workers/Assistants/Key Workers/Support Workers and Personal Assistants.
