Entry Level to Level 2 Maths qualification to develop new skills and cover everything from the very basics to more advanced What are Functional Skills - Maths and English? Functional Skills are a range of essential subjects that are used to handle problems and questions commonly encountered in daily life. It includes maths, english and ICT and ranges from entry level learners, people with learning difficulties and disabilities to level 2 qualifications. Functional Skills courses are an opportunity to check on your current skills and to carry out a brush up if you need to. Some of us may already have level 2 qualifications (O levels, GCSEs at level C and above)and may be a bit rusty. Support is available with Literacy (reading and writing) and Numeracy (maths). The Adult Community Learning Service has a team of experienced tutors who can provide full support to help you gain a qualification. We have classes in towns right across the Island.
