This is a one-year course accredited by WJEC. You will study different types of writing such as newspaper articles, travel writing, factual and informative writing. You will also study some contemporary literature examining how the authors use language to express their ideas. There are opportunities to develop your writing skills, and an assessment of your writing skills is part of the final exam. There is a spoken element to the course, which will involve activities such as taking part in a group discussion.
