"Through lectures, talks and workshop-based sessions students will work with exercises and dialogue to develop their knowledge of English literature. Tutor prepared handouts will be given when necessary. During the introductory session learners are asked to state in their Initial Assessment what they hope to gain from the course and if there are any particular aspects of English literature they would like to deal with. The tutor will then ascertain the needs and expectations of each learner and direct the five week course accordingly The aim is to allow Learners to progress in the depth and amount of knowledge gained each week. These exercises will be chosen to be appropriate to students’ requirements. "
