Level 2 Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Playwork Contents of qualification: City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma Level 1 Functional Skills English Level 1 Functional Skills Maths City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning About Playwork: Playwork is for those people who wish to work in an out of school setting, for instance a breakfast or after school club, a holiday club or a children’s play centre. JACE offers the Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2) and the Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) in Playwork. The Intermediate Apprenticeship can enable you to work as an Assistant Play worker or Play centre assistant, under supervision of the playworker or Playleader in charge. This qualification takes a minimum of 12 months to complete. The Advanced Apprenticeship can enable you to work as a Playworker or Senior Playworker, responsible for supervising the team in the play setting, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed, and making sure a range of play opportunities are provided.
