This course is suitable for you if you are a professional or voluntary youth worker. You may already have some relevant knowledge and skills, usually from a role where you’ve been supervised. To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice, learners must achieve a minimum of 23 credits; 17 credits from the mandatory units and a minimum of 6 credits from the optional units available. Mandatory units: Establish Relationships and Maintain Dialogue with Young People Work as an Effective and Reflective Practitioner Work in Ways that Promote Equality of Opportunity, Participation and responsibility Work with Young People to Safeguard their Welfare Apprenticeship Programme Additional Elements Required C&G Certificate in Youth work Practice (Competence/Technical knowledge element ) Functional Skills – Maths, English, ICT (if applicable) Level 1 or 2 Employee Rights and Responsibilities Personal Learning & Thinking Skills (PLTS)
