This is a course for students who are 16-19 years of age and have arrived in the UK within the last couple of years. Students will have already successfully studied ESOL at Entry Level 2 or they will have to pass an English test at interview stage. The ESOL Horizons Higher will develop your skills in reading, writing and speaking English from a basic to an intermediate level. All your lessons will be taught by specialist ESOL teachers.On the ESOL Horizons Higher course all students study the same set of qualifications. These are: Trinity ESOL Skills for Life - Entry Level 3 Edexcel ICT Functional Skills ? Entry Level 3 Edexcel Award in Vocational Studies at Entry Level 3 AQA Personal and Social Education Award ? Entry Level 3 Mathematics ? you will be tested for the right level. The Trinity ESOL Skills for Life course is assessed by three exams a speaking exam, a reading exam and a writing exam. The other qualifications are assessed by a combination of traditional written exams and coursework.
