This course is ideal if you are interested in the sports industry and enjoy sport and physical activity. Any student who enjoys playing and competing in sports and who wants to gain valuable experience in developing their leadership and coaching skills. You will study: anatomy and physiology for exercise, principles of exercise, fitness and health, planning and preparing gym-based exercise, instructing and supervising gym-based exercise. Memory stick, text book, plus £250 to cover residential and educational visits. Any underspend is reimbursed to students at the end of the year to be provided. Further study in the following: BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, coaching, teaching and instructing football. Possible career options include recreation assistant or sports leader.
