Area: Sport, Leisure and Recreation (Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Activity Leadership). Confirm occupational competence and/or 'licence to practice'. Confirm competence in an occupational role to the standards required. Portfolio of Evidence, Practical Demonstration/Assignment. Learners must achieve 30 credits. 25 credits from Group A and minimum of 2 units (5 credits) from the optional units in Group B. This is an ideal course if you are interested in coaching and playing football. You will have the opportunity to gain relevant qualifications related to your passion for football. Any student who enjoys playing and competing in football matches and who wants to gain valuable experience in developing their leadership and coaching skills with a range of target groups. The course is split into 2 parts. Part 1: 6-8 hours of specialist football coaching weekly and involvement in county youth leagues and competitions. Part 2: A range of sports-specific qualifications involving portfolios, assignments and practical leadership/coaching assessments. Please note: a full commitment is essential to both aspects of the Football Academy to ensure success. Memory stick, stationery and materials, off-site transport costs to and from sports grounds/centres etc. A cost of £450 to cover trips, visits and full training kit.
