Intermediate Equine Apprenticeship

This is a Level 2 Intermediate Equine Apprenticeship. This programme is suitable for budding young grooms wanting to develop their knowledge and understanding as well as practical skills in the industry. This Apprenticeship framework comprises of the following aims: Level 2 Diploma in Work Based Horse Care (C&G)* Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Horse Care (1st4Sport) Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths (C&G) Employment Rights and Responsibilities Workbook Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Workbook Alternative routes and aim options within this Apprenticeship framework are also available, including training towards BHS Stage 2. *There are 3 main routes available within the Work Based Diploma - Care and Management only, Care and Riding, and Breeding. A candidate would select the route most appropriate to their work environment and career aims. Apprentices will be employed in the horse industry, earning a wage and taking part in on and off the job training. Training off the job will be day release held at our training centre in Felsted.
