This 2-year programme leads to a career in post-compulsory teaching or training (vocational and academic subjects) and QTLS status. It comprises of 6 modules: Introduction to teaching and learning; planning for assessing and learning; theory in professional practice',' professional development; curriculum studies and professional investigation. You need to be suitably qualified in the subject you want to teach (i.e. carpentry',' hairdressing',' business',' etc.). In addition you must possess a good standard of written and spoken English',' good interpersonal skills',' commitment and enthusiasm. This programme will be delivered via Christchurch Canterbury University. Those who are graduates who wish to gain Level 6 PGCE statis can do so via Canterbury Christchurch University. The fees for studying for a CCCU qualification will cost £3','000 per year (as at 2012). Those who are not graduates will gain a Level 5 Diploma - both have QTLS status. Further information can be obtained during the interview process. Entry Requirements: You must also be able to arrange 100 hours (minimum) of suitable teaching practice for the 2 year programme.
