Duration : 1 year Do you often wonder: Why is it that Britain has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in Europe?; Why do so many young people leave school with very low grade GCSEs or worse?; About the ways in which gender',' sexuality',' race',' ethnicity and religion open up or close down opportunities in your life? If your answer is yes',' then you will enjoy learning about what goes on in society and explaining why we live as we do. At AS Level you will study two modules covering: - Inequality in Britain - Education and research methods At A2 Level you will study two modules covering: - Beliefs in society - Crime with theory and methods You will sit a separate exam for all four modules. Entry Requirements: For AS Levels you will need five GCSE passes at grades A*-C',' including English and maths',' as well as one grade B. Other relevant qualifications can be discussed at interview. If you have grades A and B at GCSE or a strong overall GCSE profile',' we'll encourage you to study four AS courses. To progress from AS to A2 you are expected to gain at least a grade C in the AS subject studied.
