Duration : 1 year If you love France and learning about other countries' culture this course gives you an excellent grounding in all aspects of the French language',' with the opportunity to demonstrate your ability in speaking',' listening',' reading and writing. At AS Level you will cover topics including aspects of daily life',' leisure and entertainment',' communication and media',' education and training. Activities are role play and topic discussion',' listening',' reading',' writing and responding in French/English. At A2 Level you will cover topics including society',' the environment',' science and technology and culture. Activities are based around discussion of articles and topic discussion',' listening',' reading',' writing and responding in French/English. All units are externally assessed - the multi-skill units through a written paper and the speaking units either through a visiting examiner or through submitting recorded tests. Entry Requirements: For AS Levels you will need five GCSE passes at grades A*-C',' including English',' Maths and French',' as well as one grade B. Other relevant qualifications can be discussed at interview. If you have grades A and B at GCSE or a strong overall GCSE profile',' we'll encourage you to study four AS courses. To progress from AS to A2 you are expected to gain at least a grade C in the AS subject studied.
