Intermediate Beauty Therapy (Make up)

A beauty therapy in make up apprenticeship is one of the best ways of training to become a beautician. Apart from it being the only route which enables you to EARN WHILE YOU LEARN, because all apprentices are employed from day one, you will develop real, practical and commercial skills highly valued by employers. In the majority of cases you will attend a Michael John Academy one day per week and work within the Industry for the remainder of your working week.If you have previous experience we can support you to progress more rapidly, however you should expect your apprenticeship to last at least twelve months with most course durations lasting between 14-18 months.Some of the subjects and skills covered within your apprenticeship include: Health and safety Promoting additional services or products to clients Developing and maintaining your effectiveness at work Providing facial skin care treatments Enhancing the appearance of eyebrows and lashes Carrying out waxing services Providing manicure services Providing pedicure services Fulfilling salon reception duties Providing make-up services Client care and customer service You will also be given a real insight into the Beauty Industry to include what employers will expect from you and how important it is to sustain your employment so you can progress even further as a therapist.
