These courses offer students who have not yet achieved or need to build on their academic qualifications the chance to gain the equivalent of 4 GCSEs through an exciting and creative range of 2D and 3D art and design subjects such as Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Making, Graphic Design, Surface Design, Fashion and 3D Design. Students will be shown how they can express their individual ideas and thoughts through a wide range of art and design skills and techniques. They will create a portfolio of work that will reflect their unique potential within art and design and enable them to study at a higher level or gain employment. Students will also explore the work of other artists and designers and learn how they have made a career in art and design. This work is supported by educational visits to galleries and cultural centres such as London. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in industrial led projects and competitions. All of this is managed by highly creative and experienced tutors who will support and help students to develop their skills in art and design as well as helping them to gain confidence on both a personal and creative level. Tutors will also ensure that students receive the right support and guidance to progress to specialist level 3 courses or employment. Our studios are creative and stimulating places to work, we have excellent resources and space that ensures each student can develop their skills and talent to create original pieces of art and design in a safe, comfortable and spacious environment. Both the Level 1 and Level 2 are established and outstanding courses and we encouraged potential students to have a great interest and passion for art and design.
