This wide ranging and innovative course will give students the opportunity to open the door on the creative world of photography in its many forms. Think of fashion photography, editorial or advertising photography. What about industrial, landscape or documentary photography? The list is almost endless, as are the learning opportunities on this course. Students are provided with the opportunity to explore the full range of darkroom and digital techniques, giving students excellent core knowledge of the subject. Experimentation with Photoshop as an application within photography is encouraged. Students will also explore the work of photographers through educational visits. Expansion of student’s capabilities through exciting location and studio based workshops is also a major part of this dynamic course. Delivered by industry professionals and benefiting from industry standard equipment and studios, our students experience a truly grade one learning experience. Final grades will give the maximum UCAS point score of 420. Successful completion of the course will give you the qualifications and skills required to progress onto a range of Degree and Foundation Degree course or to go directly into industry. Career Pathways include: Photography, Film and TV, Digital, Fashion Editorial or Advertising Photography, retouching and related pathways of study. In some cases students’ progress into self-employment within the photographic industries, as assistants to photographers or into apprenticeships in portrait, wedding, forensic, industrial, landscape, documentary, fashion photography etc.
