If you are excited by computer animation, games design, or film making then this is certainly the right course for you. We offer students the opportunity to explore new media techniques and experiment with interactive design in a custom built environment with extensive, state of the art technology. Students develop their drawing and design skills to create 2D and 3D computer as well as traditional animation techniques. They create their own sets, develop their own characters and storyboards and even learn how to program their games concepts. The course also offers an enhancement in radio production. All this is backed by a sound grounding in directing, producing, editing, camera-work, script writing, lighting and sound, utilizing a wide range of TV and video equipment. Students also benefit from being taught by industry professionals, being entered to the Royal Television Society Awards (where we won ‘Best Animation’ last year) and producing real work for real clients on this exciting, well equipped, successful grade one course. Final grades will give the maximum UCAS point score of 420. Successful completion of the course will provide the qualification and skills to progress onto the Degree or Foundation Degree Courses or to go directly into industry.
