Our Fine Art course gives students the opportunity to build an extensive and diverse portfolio of practical work demonstrating their individual talents in drawing, painting, sculpture and multi-disciplinary areas of art and design. Students develop skill in experimentation with a wide range of materials, techniques and processes, generating ideas through visual research and creative exploration. They take a very personal and highly rewarding journey, developing their individual style through a range of stimulating and thought provoking assignments. Tutors help students to explore the work of others through educational visits to local, national and international galleries and source a wide range of live assignments set by industrial clients. This is an exceptional experience for students and aims to direct them to career pathways that suit their individual talents and passions. Final grades will give the maximum UCAS point score of 420. Successful completion of the course gives the qualifications and skills required to progress into a range of Degree or Foundation Degree courses or to go directly into employment. Career pathways include: Teaching, Illustration, Art Administration, Community Arts, Art Therapy and a vast range of freelance careers in a variety of specialized areas within art and design.
