The FM sector is a wide field with a diverse range of responsibilities, which are dependent on the structure and size of the organisation. They can be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises. They are responsible for the smooth running of the environments we encounter in our working and personal lives. They work behind the scenes to support all operations FM organisations are those that are specialist providers for different services that are required to support every organisation. FM providers are technical specialists in the service that they provide and aim to achieve provision of quality and cost effective maintenance and care service for a wide range of commercial/ public buildings for example: Hotels, Hospitals, Offices, Shopping Complexes and Educational or Convention Centres. This course develops the front line operative skills in a range of these areas.
