Apprenticeship in Hospitality Services Level 2. Course Details This qualification is aimed at those working or who are seeking to start a career in hospitality. It can be taken whilst in the workplace to allow hands on experience as you train. It allows flexibility in choice for the learner to take units from different pathways. It covers the breadth of hospitality functions including all main career pathways available in this diverse industry. Apprenticeship Framework comprises: • Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Hospitality Services • Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Technical Certificate) • Functional Skills Mandatory units for NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality Services include: • Maintenance of a safe, hygienic and secure working environment • Work effectively as part of a hospitality team • Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation Further credits must be achieved from a range of optional units Mandatory units for EDI L2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles are: • Safe, hygienic and secure work environments in hospitality • Effective teamwork • Giving customers a positive impression • Principles of customer service in hospitality, leisure travel and tourism Further credits must be achieved from a range of optional unit Functional Skills Functional Skills are skills that are needed in a range of activities in education and training, work and life in general. For this Framework you will be required to achieve the following: • Mathematics Level 1 • English Level 1 • ICT Level 1 Successful completion of these Functional Skills is essential to complete the framework.
