This is a newly developed course ideal for those wishing to enter the plumbing industry. This course will give you an insight into all aspects of the Building Service Engineering industry, covering: Plumbing, Electrical principles, Heating, Air conditioning, Refrigeration,Safe working practices, Roles and responsibilities, Environmental protection, Scientific principles of electrical installation You'll complete a City & Guilds Level 1 Access to Building Services Engineering qualification, as well as being given the opportunity to achieve a functional skills award in numeracy and literacy. You will learn through: Lectures, Group work, Demonstrations, Discussions, Hands on practical training. You will be assessed through a combination of set assignments, multiple choice tests and direct observation of your practical work. You will also visit construction sites to allow you to gain real life experience to develop your understanding of the topics covered, helping you to achieve your qualification. If you successfully complete this course, you can progress to a Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies. Alternatively, if you gain the support of a construction industry employer or are successful in applying for one of our construction apprenticeship vacancies, you will be able to progress onto an apprenticeship.
