This introductory course has been designed to help you start your career in Construction or prepare you to progress onto further study in your chosen craft. Delivered through a combination of hands on, practical training and classroom based activities, all at our state of the art Skills Academy for Construction. The course includes: Health, safety and welfare in construction and associated industries Prepare common surface types for decoration Apply foundation and plain papers Apply basic paint systems by brush and roller Produce standard decorative finishes Erect and dismantle access equipment and working platforms Knowledge of construction technology Knowledge of technical information quantities and communication with others. Throughout the course, you will be taught and supported by our fully qualified teaching team who have years of industry experience. Your progress, skills and knowledge will be regularly checked through short on-line tests, practical skills demonstrations and with an end of your course skills test.
