You will gain the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding of the common engineering and safe working practices to enable you to work towards a career in engineering. In addition to the basics the programme offers you an opportunity to specialise in one of three pathways; Fabrication and Welding, Machining or Maintenance (including Electrical/Electronics). As well as work in our Engineering Centre you will undertake work experience and have the opportunity to take part in trips and visits to look at different engineering businesses and how they operate. This will add to the business knowledge and skills you develop on the course. On completion of this programme you will have skills and knowledge that will help you gain an Apprenticeship, employment or progression into further education.
