This course provides the underpinning knowledge and technical skills that a trained worker requires as a Shopfitter within the bench joinery industry. It can be studied by unemployed learners seeking new skills looking to enhance their employment potential. It is also studied by Apprentices, together with the related NVQ. Potential apprentices and their employers should look at apprentice opportunities elsewhere on this site .Participants will learn about: basic joinery and about construction safety. In addition they will study • How to set up and operate a circular saw • Building methods and construction technology • How to produce setting out details for routine Shopfitting products • How to mark out from setting out details for routine Shopfitting products • How to manufacture routine Shopfitting products .
