UPDATED 20140814 10:08:51

This is an introduction to one of the world's oldest dance forms. During the course you will learn the correct posture, discover how to isolate specific muscles and develop the technique to perform simple choreographies. This course will cover not only traditional folkloric dances but will also offer a modern approach to Belly Dancing. You will learn a variety of different styles such as cabaret, the folkloric Saiidi, tribal style and gypsy style. You will also be able to explore the fusion of Belly Dancing techniques with Bollywood and jazz to give a more modern look to this ancient dance form. It is a low-impact, fun and a very feminine way to exercise. You will also learn a little about the culture and history behind the dance.
