This course is designed for learners who are able to hold, move, point and click with a computer mouse and know the basic keyboard keys such as the space bar, the backspace key, the return/enter key. No prior experience of the internet is required. Content and Learning Outcomes: -How to access the internet and type in a web address -How to view a website effectively -How to use hyperlinks efficiently -How to conduct effective searches using a search engine -Things to avoid on the internet -How to deal with security issues -How to stay safe online -How to recognise some of the problems and pitfalls when using the internet. -How to compose an email and send it correctly -How to reply and forward email messages -How to add contacts to the email address book -How to download an email attachment (ie a picture or document) -How to send an email attachment (ie picture or document)
