Offers practical skills underpinned by sound theoretical understanding in the analysis, design and development of computer-based systems; an understanding of the hardware, software and network infrastructure that supports them; programming and animation. The HND Computing Science can be topped up to a degree by gaining entry onto a university computer science course. John Leggott College has strong links with Bradford University, Lincoln University, University of Sheffield and Grimsby Institute locally. The HND can also lead to a career in a wide range of IT professions such as programming, systems analysis, systems management and database development.
