Springfields have extended their apprenticeship offer to include intermediate level 2 apprenticeships in Improving Operational Performance - Performing Manufacturing Operations. This will support a career as a process operator within the manufacturing operations at Springfields. The programme will develop an engineering knowledge and an understanding of the requirements of operating in a manufacturing environment. This will include knowledge of equipment and materials, safe operation of manufacturing plant to ensure production output meets specification, meeting production targets and maintaining production records. Apprentices would predominantly follow the mechanical apprenticeship route for 12months in the training centre and then for a further twelve months move to a plant placement to develop and demonstrate the competences of operating within a production facility.
