These courses are suitable for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities who would like to extend their skill levels in a subject area of interest to them. Students will work in small groups in a supportive learning environment to compile a portfolio of evidence to put towards an award sized qualification - Towards Independence. Students can enrol on these courses once only. Entry requirements are enthusiasm, motivation and a willingness to learn new skills. Where materials/equipment are required you will be asked to pay a deposit for the full amount which will be refunded at the end of the course if you don’t wish to retain these materials/equipment. New You This course has been designed to enable you to learn techniques for relaxation, gentle exercise according to individual needs, body awareness, improve personal presentation for social and more formal situations, such as work. This course is ideal for students with learning difficulties and disabilities
