This Apprenticeship is designed to provide individuals with the opportunity to develop competencies needed to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the installation, maintenance, commissioning and servicing of domestic plumbing and heating systems. The Intermediate Apprenticeship provides an opportunity for individuals to gain the skills and knowledge necessary for a career in an established industry, and for employers and apprentices to benefit from this structured learning and assessment programme. Elements covered within this Apprenticeship include: Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating (Combined Competency Element and Technical Certificate) Functional Skills at level 2 in maths and English plus level 1 in ICT Employee Rights and Responsibilities Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Job roles could include: plumber. Following achievement of this Apprenticeship, individuals could progress to study the Advanced (Level 3) Apprenticeship in Domestic Plumbing and Heating. In addition, individuals can register on an appropraite Certification Scheme.

Name: Plumbing and Heating Qualification title: NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Individuals must achieve a minimum of 91 credits in order to complete this Apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship includes: - Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating (Combined Competency Element and Technical Certificate) 76 credits must be achieved. The qualification will be assessed via: observation of performance in the work environment, questioning, discussions, witness statements, written statements produced by individuals and recognition of prior learning. - Employee Rights and Responsibilities Individuals must complete a workbook. - Functional Skills at level 2 in English and maths plus level 1 in ICT Individuals must undertake assessments under exam conditions.
