This Apprenticeship provides a structured approach to training and developing prospective Accountants who understand the needs of the organisation, its customers and the sector within which they operate. This Apprenticeship covers topics such as: drafting financial statements, calculating business and personal tax, budgeting and forecasting financial performance. Elements covered within this Apprenticeship include: Level 4 Diploma in Accounting (Combined Competency Element and Technical Certificate) Functional Skills at Level 2 in English and maths Employee Rights and Responsibilities Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Job roles could include: accounts manager and accounting technician. This Apprenticeship provides an ideal progression route for individuals who have achieved the Advanced (Level 3) Apprenticeship in Accounting. Following achievement of this Apprenticeship, individuals could progress to study a Foundation Degree in Accounting or a Degree in Accounting and Finance. In addition, individuals will receive excemptions from Chartered Accounting examinations.

Name: Accounting Qualification title: Diploma in Accounting (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Individuals must achieve a minimum of 51 credits in order to complete this Apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship includes: - Level 4 Diploma in Accounting (Combined Competency Element and Technical Certificate) 41 credits must be achieved. The qualification will be assessed via: observation of performance in the work environment, questioning, discussions, witness statements, written statements produced by individuals and recognition of prior learning. - Employee Rights and Responsibilities Individuals must complete a workbook. - Functional Skills at level 2 in English and maths Individuals must undertake assessments under exam conditions.
